Our History

Welcome to Origins - Our Story:

With its introduction in 1990, Origins was one of the first prestige brands to offer a complete collection of highly-effective natural skincare products. The mission at Origins is to create high-performance skincare by scouring the earth for ingredients that are powered by nature and proven by science.

Did you know there are approximately 500,000 plant species on earth and that each one contains about 10,000 active materials? That’s an enormous source of inspiration for new medications, food and, of course, skincare.

Currently employing more than 50 “green” scientists, Origins tests 600 natural ingredients every year.  Each ingredient is studied, purified and refined through an earth-friendly process to ensure only the most active ingredients are used. The plant actives are tested vigorously for efficacy and safety and only a select few are chosen for use in Origins high-performance skincare collections. out of trouble

At Origins, we study the use of plant actives, earth and sea substances and other natural resources from a variety of cultures. Our formulas draw on these potent ancient ingredients and the wisdoms that surround them. We then perfect, shape and refine them for the modern world using the most advanced technologies available to us. Our use of technology and science further ensures the efficacy, safety and trustworthiness of our products.

We are proud to continue our commitment to providing the safest products and Origins products are formulated without Parabens, Phthalates, Propylene Glycol, Mineral Oil, PABA, Petrolatum, Paraffin, DEA, Animal Ingredients (except cruelty-free honey and beeswax). Our long-standing commitment is to protect the planet, its resources and all those who populate it is reaffirmed by our earth and animal friendly practices, packaging and policies.

Today, Origins products are sold in over 90 stores across the UK and Ireland, present in prestigious department stores and within Boots and smaller, independent chemists.
